FAQ
Short answers. If something is missing, ask us.
What does Heedly monitor?
Website availability (status code, response time, keyword), SSL certificate and domain expiry, marketplace XML feeds, product pages through a polite crawler, and TCP/HTTP checks of your own servers.
How often are checks made?
Depends on the plan: every 8 minutes on Free, every 3 minutes on Pro, every 2 minutes on Business, and on Scale the first 20 sites every minute, the next 25 every 2.5 minutes and the rest every 6 minutes. Nothing runs more often than once a minute.
How do alerts work?
A failed check is repeated after 20–30 seconds. If it still fails you get one email describing the problem, reminders every 6 hours (up to four) while it lasts, and a separate email when it recovers.
Can I monitor a site I do not own?
The crawler, feeds and server checks start only after you confirm control of the site with a DNS TXT record, a meta tag or a small file. A single trial check of the home page is allowed before that.
Can there be false alarms or missed outages?
Yes. Heedly is a best-effort service without an SLA. We re-check before alerting to reduce false alarms, but network paths and third-party sites can still cause mistakes.
What happens when my subscription ends?
You keep your account with the Free limits plus any one-off add-ons you bought. Sites above the limit are paused, and your data is not deleted.
What are add-ons?
One-off purchases for extra sites, feeds or servers. They stay on your account after a subscription ends.
Can I pay today?
Not right now: payments are paused because of technical difficulties and will be available very soon. Accounts and the Free plan work as usual.
What data do you keep?
Your email, the sites you add, check results for the history period of your plan and technical logs. See the privacy policy for details and your rights.
How do I stop HeedlyBot from visiting my site?
Read the bot page and use the abuse form, or block the user agent. We pause checks for a host as soon as its owner asks.
